Minority Education

Overview The Summer Graduate School Orientation Institute (SGSOI) was held at Carnegie Mellon University each summer from 1981 through 1985. The objective of the program was to help motivate and prepare minority undergraduates to undertake graduate programs in engineering, the sciences, and quantitative social sciences and professions.
